MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS
PYRC Membership Options, Dues & Court Policies
1. Full Membership
Full members enjoy access to all PYRC facilities and racquet sports, including tennis, pickleball, and racquetball.
- All members may reserve tennis, pickleball, and racquetball court time through the CourtReserve app.
- A Family Membership includes the member, spouse or partner, and children under age 25 who live in the same household.
- All members may sponsor guests in accordance with the club's guest policies outlined below.
2. Seasonal Membership
Seasonal memberships are designed for summer residents and others who would like to enjoy PYRC during the club's lower-use summer season.
- Seasonal membership runs from June 1 through September 30.
- Both Family and Single seasonal memberships are available.
3. Charter Membership
Charter members are founding members who helped make PYRC's current facility possible.
- Charter members contributed a minimum of $1,000 toward construction of the club's current facility.
- Eligible Charter members receive a reduced annual Full Membership rate.
4. 2026–27 Membership Dues
The following rates apply for the October 1, 2026–September 30, 2027 membership year:
- Full Family: $665
- Full Family Charter: $615
- Full Single: $470
- Full Single Charter: $420
- Summer Family: $270 — June through September
- Summer Single: $195 — June through September
- Racquetball Only: $235
- Tennis Team: $460
- New Members: Dues are prorated based on the month joined. This introductory proration applies to the member's first year only.
- Annual Dues: Membership dues are due in full by October 1.
5. Prospective-Member Guests
PYRC welcomes prospective members who would like to experience the club before joining.
- A member-sponsored prospective member may visit the club once without paying a guest fee.
- All guests are required to complete and sign the appropriate PYRC Guest Waiver/Agreement by clicking on this link to download, print and fill out the document.
- Alternatively, guest waiver forms are available under Downloads in the Registration section of this website.
- The club's maximum of three guest visits per fiscal year applies.
6. Court Reservations
Court reservations for PYRC racquet sports are managed through CourtReserve.
- Reserve your playing time in advance so other members can accurately see court availability.
- Be sure you are reserving the correct court and time.
- If you are unable to use a reservation, cancel it as soon as possible so the court becomes available to other members.
- When bringing a guest, follow the club's guest registration and waiver requirements.
- The maximum of three guest visits per fiscal year applies.
7. Member Responsibilities When Bringing Guests
Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests understand and follow PYRC's guest and facility requirements.
- Complete the Guest Participant Waiver/Agreement (click on this link, download, print and fill out the document) and forward it to the CourtReserve Administrator at pyrctreas@gmail.com.
- These requirements apply to guests participating in tennis, pickleball, or racquetball.
- Review applicable PYRC facility and court rules with your guest before play.
- Guests may use PYRC courts only when accompanied on the court by a Full Member.

The Penn Yan Racquet Club
fiscal/membership calendar year runs from October 1 through September 30. Dues must be paid in full by October 1.

PYRC Facility & Court-Use Guidelines (click on this document link to download and view the document)
To keep the Penn Yan Racquet Club clean, safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone, we ask all members and guests to follow these guidelines.
1. Court & Facility Use
- PYRC facilities may be used only by current members and properly registered guests.
- Please be courteous to the players scheduled after you and finish play and leave the court before the start of the next reserved time slot.
- Guests must follow all PYRC facility and court-use policies.
2. Court Footwear
Help us protect our court surfaces by wearing appropriate footwear.
- Clean tennis or court shoes are required for play.
- Members and guests should carry clean court shoes into the club and change footwear before entering the courts.
- During winter, rainy, or muddy conditions, please change from street shoes to court shoes in the outer lobby.
- Footwear that leaves marks or could damage a playing surface is prohibited.
3. Heating & Indoor Comfort
PYRC uses radiant in-floor heating to provide comfortable conditions for tennis, pickleball, and racquetball.
- The facility temperature is maintained at a level appropriate for active play, rather than normal indoor room temperature.
- Maintaining a reasonable playing temperature also helps the club control energy costs and membership dues.
- Members and guests are encouraged to dress appropriately for their individual comfort.
4. Carry-In / Carry-Out Policy
PYRC follows a simple “Carry-In / Carry-Out” policy.
- Please take with you everything you bring into the facility.
- Remove all food containers, bottles, wrappers, and other personal trash when you leave.
- Help leave the club clean and ready for the next members.
5. Court Lights
- Please turn off the court lights when you finish playing if no one is using the court after you.
- If players are arriving for the next scheduled time, the lights may be left on.
6. Members Under Age 18
For safety, family members under age 18 must have appropriate adult supervision.
- Members under 18 may not use the courts without an adult present and actively supervising on the court.
- Active supervision means the adult is attentive and engaged in supervising the activity.
- PYRC facilities are not intended to provide unsupervised childcare.
7. Tennis & Pickleball Court Equipment
Keeping the playing area clear helps maintain a safe environment.
- Only club-provided chairs and designated court equipment should be kept alongside the tennis and pickleball courts.
- Personal belongings should be placed on the wall pegs or shelves provided.
- Personal items and equipment should not be left or stored on the playing surface.
8. Racquetball Court Care
- After each racquetball session, players are asked to sweep the court using the designated racquetball cleaning broom.
- The cleaning broom is kept in the storage room.
- Please leave the court clean and ready for the next players.
9. Shower Courtesy
- Members using the shower should squeegee the shower stall after each use.
- Please leave the shower area clean and ready for the next member.
10. Reporting Problems
If you notice a problem with the building, courts, equipment, or other club operations:
- Please report it to a PYRC Board member.
- Board member names and contact information are posted in the PYRC lobby.
- Member concerns or disputes should also be brought to the attention of a Board member rather than left unresolved.
11. Respecting Our Member-Owned Club
PYRC is a member-owned organization that relies heavily on volunteers. Our facility was made possible through the generosity and contributions of members and supporters and continues to benefit from members who volunteer their time.
- Please treat the facility, courts, equipment, and furnishings with care.
- Be considerate of other members and guests.
- Help keep the club clean and orderly.
- Respect reserved court times and finish play promptly.
- Whenever possible, lend a hand in keeping PYRC a welcoming place for everyone.
A little consideration from every member goes a long way toward protecting our facility and keeping PYRC enjoyable and affordable for the entire membership.
